Privacy Policy and Data Protection (GDPR)
I use email to communicate with clients and potential clients about matters such as appointments and payments only. If you are concerned about the security of emails then please do not mail sensitive information, or choose an alternative means of communication. Emails are kept on my personal computer which is password-protected. You may call me and leave a message, or text me on 07874 207977 if you prefer. This number is for the use of clients and potential clients only, and is password-protected.
Client contact details and notes are kept on paper in a locked cabinet. Your contact details are only seen by me and will never be shared with third parties. The only exception to this confidentiality is in rare cases as might be required, legally and ethically. This is explained in my client agreement which is given prior to therapy commencing. You can contact me to ask for this in advance if you prefer.
I follow the ethical code of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). The BACP is the largest professional body representing counselling and psychotherapy in the UK.
